Level 2 Award in Awareness of Dementia (QCF)

This online qualification is aimed at occupational areas across all service user groups and ages, working in statutory (including NHS), private and voluntary agencies. This also includes healthcare/care assistants, support/key workers, family support workers and team leaders/first line supervisors.

Qualification Overview

This qualification (QCF Reference 600/4613/2) is designed to help meet the dementia strategies for the UK and so improve health and care services supporting individuals diagnosed with dementia and is also suitable for learners with little or no knowledge of dementia care.

  • A total of 9 credits must be achieved to gain the qualification.
  • A learner must complete all 4 mandatory units to achieve this qualification.
