Annual Refresher Programmes

Care Academy can also be used to meet your annual refresher training requirements. The programme should include:

• Moving and Handling (Annual Requirement).
• First Aid (Annual Requirement for basic skills since 2006).
• Adult Protection (every two years).

In addition, dependant on your service, you may require:

• Child Protection.
• Food safety.
• Control and restraint.
• Medication.

As best practice, you may also wish to include:

• Your Role As A Carer.
• Worker Relationships.
• Confidentiality.

You can also develop bespoke programmes to ensure your employees stay abreast of your evolving organisation - this may include Policies and Procedures (via Policy-Safe), changing business focus or organisation expansion.
